Two days of wedding flower planning, practice and practical advice. Includes hands-on workshops focusing on bouquets, corsages, headpieces and other personal flowers. Perfect for florists, wedding planners, brides, mothers of brides and everyone else in the wedding party. Day one focuses on bouquets and the planning of wedding flowers. Using our step-by-step techniques, you will learn how to create a variety of bouquets for brides and bridesmaids. We teach you the proper spiral technique and handle finish for hand tied bouquets. We will also cover the latest trends in bouquet design. On the second day, you will learn how to create personal flowers including boutonnieres, corsages, headpieces & pomanders. (Of course, we don’t forget the groom and the groomsmen!) Wiring, gluing and lots of special techniques will be taught. Over the course of this two-day workshop, you will learn how to plan, budget and order flowers for a wedding. We will look at the planning and budget for a real wedding and plan a virtual one together. Each day will include an “Ask the Professionals Lunch” with a top wedding planner and social media marketing consultant serving the wedding industry. Price: (includes LOTS OF FLOWERS, all materials needed and delicious lunches from a local Virginia-Highland restaurant)]]>
