Tour Information & FAQ
Tour FAQ
I am a solo traveler. Do other solo travelers go on your tours?
Yes, we often have solo travelers on our tours. Our love of flowers makes for wonderful shared experiences and makes us all fast friends!
Are the floral design workshops appropriate for beginners?
Yes, our floral design workshops are geared towards all levels of experience, particularly beginners. Our instructors are well versed in teaching classes with students of various levels.
Is there an opportunity to get to know my fellow tour participants prior to departure?
Yes! We will provide a participant list with contact information. And, approximately 4-6 weeks before departure we host a zoom meeting for all participants.
Is it possible to arrive early to combat jetlag and/or do some of my own sightseeing?
Yes! We give all tour participants an ‘Early Arrival’ option for hotel rooms.
What are the physical demands of your tours?
Our tours include full days with a lot of walking and standing. Expect to be on your feet for up to three hours, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather conditions. You'll also need to carry your own luggage, possibly up flights of stairs or over cobblestoned streets.
Do you go ahead with planned activities in bad weather?
Yes, our events are rain or shine.
If there is a day I feel I would like to rest or take a break from the group may I do that?
Yes, of course!
Is airfare included in the price of the tour?
No, you must purchase airfare separately and it is not included in the price of the tour.
Is ground transportation to/from the airports included?
No, it is not included in the price of the tour. Upon arrival it is up to you to find transportation from the arrival airport to our hotel. However, on the last day of the tour we often organize a bus to take the group to our departure airport. This is a separate fee that will be billed after the tour concludes.
Are tips covered in my tour cost?
The tour price includes tips for guides and group meals. Tips for hotel staff, bus drivers, meals on your own, etc. are not included.
What is your cancellation policy?
The initial deposit is non-refundable. Please read the tour specific terms and conditions on the downloadable registration form on our website.
Do you offer waitlists for sold out tours?
Yes, we do keep waitlists. If a tour is sold out and you would like to be added to the waitlist please email Kristin Fabrizio at [email protected]
Do people on the tour end up eating together when no group meal is planned?
We find that people make fast friends on our tours and often choose to eat together. But, it is entirely up to you! A few weeks prior to departure we often send out a list of restaurant ideas.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We convey food allergies (ie, shellfish, gluten) to restaurants where we have group meals, but we can not guarantee preferences such as low carb, low sugar or dairy free.
What travel documents are required?
A passport is required for international tours. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date and have a minimum of two blank visa pages. You're responsible for obtaining all required travel documents prior to your tour. If you're not a US citizen you'll need to contact your government to determine specific passport and visa requirements for traveling in Europe.
Do I need travel insurance or health insurance for travel abroad?
We highly recommend that you purchase travel and/or international health insurance. There are many types of plans available and everyone has different needs, so individuals are responsible for purchasing their own insurance plans. Please note that insurance plans vary widely and cover (or do not cover) a range of incidents including air travel cancellation, full trip cancellation, medical costs or health emergencies, natural or political disasters, and more. It is up to each individual to decide the scope of their coverage.
