October 29, 2013, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

We are pleased to welcome Rob Plattel to our studio for this special two day class on European design. We are honored to host Rob Plattel on his first visit to Atlanta for this workshop.  Rob Plattel is a Dutch Master Florist, Garden Designer and International Master Judge.  Rob has won numerous international competitions and the Dutch Open Championship.  He regularly teaches workshops, demonstrations and master classes in Russia, Germany, Canada, Slovinia, Israel and more.  He has designed showrooms and horticultural and flower shows around the world. He is also the author of “Natural Rythms” by Stichting Kunstboek. On our annual tour to Belgium and the Netherlands, Rob is one of our favorite instructors.  He has a very clear presentation style and beautiful design sense.  He shares with us his great sympathy to natural materials and extensive knowledge of horticulture. His gentle and warm demeanor make his presentations enjoyable.  We regularly use the techniques and design he taught in our studio and wedding arrangements. In our classes, Rob will cover techniques and trends in European floral design.  You will learn many new techniques and designs.  Each day will include practice of European floral design techniques and the creation of two or more arrangements.  On Day One, Rob will cover Modern Linear Design, Classic Baroque Style, and the European Hand Tied Bouquet “RE-Invented”.  On Day Two we will start with a “Behind-the-Scenes Tour” at Cut Flower Wholesale.  In addition, Rob will walk us through his process of selecting and choosing flowers. In our workshops on Day Two will create a “Transparent Design with Candle” and “Designs of Contrast.”  Our class size is very small so you will have the direct benefit of Rob’s guidance and design expertise.  A lovely lunch with Rob is included each day. Do not miss this unique opportunity to take a initmate hands on class with a fabulous European Design Master. For more information on Rob, please visit his website at www.naturalart.nl. FAQs What should I bring to the class? Sharp scissors or clippers, a knife (any kitchen knife will do) and a pen/notepad for notes. If you like, you may also bring a camera or apron. Scissors, aprons and flower arranging supplies are available for purchase. What is the refund policy? We will refund your payment up to 30 days before the class.
